Analyzes special topics in ancient architecture such as the art and architectural theory and practice of antiquity, with the intent of accounting for the goals and aspirations of specific cultures, societies, and patrons. Topics investigate how Classical societies interacted with each other and with other cultures outside the sphere of Western civilization.
