Monday Shadow Visit Experience: 9:00am - 9:50am: POLSC 100 - American Government and Politics Provides a practical examination of how things get done politically in the United States, including analysis and discussion of American attitudes and institutions. Topics include: the actual making of the U.S. Constitution; the relationship between the national government and the states; civil liberties and civil rights; the role of the President, the Congress and the Supreme Court; elections, interest groups, the media and public opinion; and various contemporary public policy issues. Prerequisite for all advanced courses in the American Politics. 10:00am - 10:50am: CHEM 202 - Environmental Chemistry II and Lab This portion of the sequence concentrates on air pollution and energy. Emphasizes the biosphere and the atmosphere, and the consequences of burning fossil fuels. Thursday Shadow Visit Experience: 11:00am - 12:20pm: BIO 240 - Concepts of Ecology Focuses on effects and controls of pollution in the environment, conservation, and natural population controls.
