Monday Shadow Visit Experience: VARTS.464 - Advanced Film Animation & Video: 11:00am–12:50pm This advanced studio course allows students to focus on an ambitious film, animation and/or video project. Emphasis is placed on advanced critical dialog, creating a unique voice and the ability to understand and articulate how the created project fits within the recent history and current trends of moving image media. Thursday Shadow Visit Experience: COMM.381 - Bollywood: 11:00am–12:20pm This course will introduce students to the film conventions, aesthetics, and fan cultures that surround Bollywood cinema. By understanding Bollywood in terms of production and consumption in both its local and global contexts, students will gain a deeper understanding of what scholars have referred to as global media scapes, flows, and circuits from the perspective of the Global South. | |
