    Welcome to Roger Williams University!



    Our New Student & Family Orientation program is designed to ease your transition to college. During orientation, you will learn more about our academics, support services, policies and procedures, life on campus, and engagement opportunities. Attendance at orientation program is required for all new undergraduate day program students.  

    There will be separate tracks developed for students and family members. Student should plan to attend day 1 and 2 of our two-day sessions.  Families can plan to attend on day 1 for the family orientation program for our two-day orientation sessions. For more specific information on orientation, click here.


    Families can plan to attend on day 1 for the family orientation program for our two-day June sessions.

    Please review the guidelines below before selecting the orientation session that best fits your schedule.
    • First-Year students should register for a two-day First-Year Orientation Session in June.
    • Transfer students:
      • with more than 24 credits should register for the one-day Transfer Orientation session.
      • with less than 24 credits should register for a two-day First-Year Orientation session in June.
    • International students or any student living outside the United States should register for International Student Orientation. 
    • Out-of-region students (students living outside of New England, New York and New Jersey areas) should register for either June or August Orientation.
