Michael Mineau
Michael is a Partner at Partridge Snow & Hahn LLP, focusing on land use and development, commercial real estate transactions, and property-related litigation. Michael represents developers, owners, landlords, tenants, investors, and joint venturers in Rhode Island and Massachusetts in their land use and development projects and in all phases of deals, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, due diligence, zoning and permitting, subdivisions, drafting and negotiating easements and restrictions, and resolving title issues. Michael also has significant experience in real estate-related litigation, including boundary and title disputes, adverse possession and easement disputes, breach of contract suits, specific performance claims, requests for declaratory and injunctive relief, land use litigation, and zoning appeals. Michael has extensive litigation and first-chair trial experience (jury and non-jury) and has represented clients in appeals to the Rhode Island Supreme Court. Michael’s trial experience has included trials in the Rhode Island Superior Court and Massachusetts Land Court.
Over the years, Michael has been a speaker at CLEs and seminars on a wide range of land use and property law topics, including at the the Southern New England American Planning Association (SNEAPA) annual convention for the past two years, the Roger Williams University Real Estate Symposium in 2024, and multiple local and national CLE seminars. Michael has also published a number of articles on a variety of land use topics and is regularly mentioned and quoted in news publications for his work.
Michael resides in Portsmouth, RI with his family, where he is very active and serves as a Board Member and the Secretary of the Portsmouth Economic Development Committee and a Board Member and the Secretary of Portsmouth Little League. He is also on the Roger Williams University Real Estate Advisory Board and a member of the Aquidneck Island Planning Commission. Michael earned his J.D. from RWU Law in 2009 and a B.A. in Political Science from Miami University (Ohio) in 2006.
